WHO WE ARE
Celadon Holdings, LLC was established in 2008 as a LIHTC syndicator and affordable housing developer. Scott Henry and Thad Garver, two former executives from JPMorgan’s Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) investment group, founded the firm.
Celadon Holdings, LLC brings significant affordable housing development experience as well as underwriting expertise in the areas of development risk management, market and financial analysis. Celadon is a Qualified Developer through Chicago’s NSP program and is a Pre-Qualified Developer for the Housing Authority of Cook County. The firm has completed seven affordable housing redevelopments and Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) syndications within and outside Illinois totaling over 1500 units.
The meaning of the word “Celadon” in our company name is a shade of green which symbolizes our commitment to an environmentally sensitive approach to our properties in an effort to make them more livable. And while there are grants available to pay for wind turbines, geothermal systems and fuel cells, our analysis of the science leads us to conclude that these technologies currently make little economic sense. Instead, we invest heavily on keeping our buildings well insulated, water tight, utilize low VOC paints, and install Energy Star appliances, HVAC systems, and use solar hot water systems to help keep the tenant’s energy bills to a minimum.
